Terms of Service

- The service is free, provided as-is, and still new. Keep your own records of anything important.
- Your inventory is yours. You let us store and process it only to run the service.
- Reading photos is automated and can be wrong. Always check part numbers and quantities against the real documents, especially for aircraft.
- Don't abuse the service, and don't use it for anything illegal.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and NowStocking ("we", "us") for your use of the hosted service at app.nowstocking.com (the "Service"). By signing in, you agree to them. If you use the Service for an organization, you're agreeing for it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
The NowStocking source code is separately licensed under the MIT license. These terms don't limit your rights under that license. They cover only the Service we run.
2. Your account
You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You're responsible for activity in your account and in workshops where you're an owner or admin, including the people you invite. You must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to what you put into the Service: inventory, notes, and photos ("Your Content"). You give us a limited license to store, copy, process, and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you and the people you share it with. That includes sending photos you choose to read to our processing provider (see the Privacy Policy). You confirm you have the right to upload Your Content. You can export it or delete it at any time.
4. Acceptable use
Don't:
- break the law, or upload content you don't have the right to share;
- try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, or probe, scan, or test the Service's security without our written permission;
- overload the Service, get around its limits, create accounts automatically, or use its email features to send spam;
- use the Service to harm others.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
5. Photo reading and accuracy
The Service uses an AI model to read packing lists and instruction pages. Its results can be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a convenience, not as a source of truth. You're responsible for checking part numbers, quantities, locations, and anything else the Service shows you against your kit manufacturer's documents before you rely on it. That matters most for aircraft and other safety-critical builds. The Service isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Van's Aircraft or any other kit manufacturer.
6. Free service, limits and changes
The Service is currently free. It includes a monthly limit on how many photo pages each workshop can read. We may change features or limits, introduce paid plans, or stop offering the Service. If we stop, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can export Your Content, unless something outside our control prevents it.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we have to for legal or security reasons. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you and give you a chance to export Your Content.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, NowStocking won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. That includes lost data, lost profits, and build errors or damage that result from relying on the Service. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
10. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of Your Content or your breach of these terms, you'll cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. This doesn't take away any consumer protections that the law where you live gives you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
